In 1991 the Friends were
among the founder members of the Association of European Migration Institutions
(AEMI) http://users.cybercity.dk/~ccc13656
Through international cooperation this organization sets itself the task of meeting a
growing demand in the field of migration research. At the same time it assists people in
finding out about their roots. In addition AEMI supports the Friends' intention of
establishing a European pendant to New York's 'Ellis Island Immigration Museum' in
Bremerhaven. |
